Actor Vikrant Masseyknown for his roles in ’12th Fail’ and ‘Mirzapur’, recently revealed that his family, including his infant son blessinghas been subjected to threats following the trailer launch of his latest film, ‘The Sabarmati Report‘. This historical drama, set to release on November 15, 2024, revisits the tragic Godhra train burning incident of 2002, making it a topic of intense public attention and scrutiny.
According to Pinkvilla, Vikrant Massey shared his concerns in an interview, disclosing that his social media accounts and WhatsApp messages have been inundated with threatening comments. The actor expressed his dismay, stating that even his 9-month-old son’s name has been dragged into the backlash. “These people know I became a father recently to a child who can’t even walk yet. They are dragging his name, and I am concerned for his safety. What society are we living in?” Massey questioned, expressing his disappointment at the targeting of his family.
Despite the troubling situation, Massey emphasized that he does not feel afraid, though he finds the nature of these threats deeply unsettling. He reflected on his motivation for continuing with the project, stating that if fear were a factor, they would not have pursued the release of such a film. He expressed his commitment to telling stories with meaningful themes, regardless of potential opposition.
