Vijayawada:A 16-year-old girl studying intermediate first year died by suicide following a petty quarrel with her classmate over missing stationary pens from her bag in the classroom on Saturday.
The incident took place at the Bhavana Junior College in Narasaraopet under Narasaraopet rural police station limits on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim Jetty Anusha had an argument with her bench mate over missing stationery pens from her bag during the class on Saturday morning. In a fit of rage, the victim following the argument with her bench mate she died by suicide on Saturday.
Following the incident, the college management rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead. On learning about the incident, Narasaraopet RDO Hemalatha, MRO Venu Gopal, and Narasaraopet rural police arrived at the college and launched an inquiry into the incident.
