Hyderabad: Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has called upon Union minister G. Kishan Reddy to assist the state government in the rejuvenation of the Musi River. Reddy posted a photo of Kishan Reddy on X, questioning the Union minister’s commitment by saying, “You were elected by the people of Secunderabad; as a responsible minister, you shouldn’t just sleep on the Musi Riverbank, but should leave a mark in its development.”
Several BJP leaders, including Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajendar and Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, participated in the ‘Musi Nidra’ campaign by spending Saturday night on the Musi Riverbed, accepting a challenge posed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. They clarified that their protest was not against the rejuvenation of the Musi River itself, but rather against the demolition of homes of the underprivileged as part of the project.
