Reddit is currently down for many who users, who are being met with an “upstream connect error” message and infinite loading times when they try to visit the site.
Reddit outage reports spiked heavily on IGN’s sister site Downdetector just after 12pm PT and continue to impact usage. Reddit acknowledged the issue on X/Twitter and says that it’s currently investigating.
Reddit hasn’t been the only social media site experiencing issues of late. Bluesky has also been struggling with error messages and slow load times amid a large surge in users.
