Kansas football tried to earn a fourth-straight win on Saturday as Big 12 Conference play continued on the road against Baylor but lost 45-17 instead.
The Jayhawks were a win away from clinching bowl eligibility. The Bears were there but looking for more. It was a disappointing end to the regular season for KU.

UPDATE: 1:37 p.m. (CT): Baylor scores again
This time it’s a field goal, but regardless Baylor’s lead grows here in the fourth quarter. This attempt was from 40 yards out, and with 9:31 remaining in the fourth quarter the Bears lead 45-17. The drive took 4:42 off of the clock and went 57 yards in 11 plays.
UPDATE: 1:25 p.m. (CT): END 3Q: Baylor 42, Kansas 17
UPDATE: 1:23 p.m. (CT): Baylor extends its lead
Baylor running back Bryson Washington just scored on a one-yard touchdown run. The touchdown drive, and ensuing extra point, has the Bears up 42-17 with less than a minute left in the third quarter. The drive took 4:56 off of the clock and went 74 yards in nine plays.
UPDATE: 1:14 p.m. (CT): Kansas finally scores again
On a 14-yard rushing touchdown from wide receiver Lawrence Arnold, Kansas has found its way onto the scoreboard again. After the extra point, with 5:03 left in the third quarter, the Jayhawks trail 35-17. The drive took 1:22 off of the clock and went 75 yards in three plays.
UPDATE: 1:06 p.m. (CT): Baylor isn’t letting up
Baylor is now up 35-10 with 6:25 left in the third quarter, after another touchdown drive and extra point. The Bears scored on a 20-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sawyer Robertson to running back Dawson Pendergrass. The drive took 3:17 off of the clock and went 62 yards in seven plays.
UPDATE: 12:54 p.m. (CT): Baylor reaches end zone again
After another touchdown drive and extra point, Baylor leads 28-10 with 10:58 left in the third quarter. Running back Bryson Washington just scored on a 10-yard touchdown run. The drive went 74 yards and nine plays and took 4:02 off of the clock.

UPDATE: 12 p.m. (CT): Baylor extends its lead
Baylor is now up 21-10 with 6:00 left in the second quarter, after a touchdown drive and extra point. The Bears scored on a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sawyer Robertson to wide receiver Josh Cameron. The drive took 3:10 off of the clock and went 82 yards in eight plays.
UPDATE: 11:53 a.m. (CT): Kansas adds a field goal
The Jayhawks had to settle for a field goal in the second quarter. With 9:16 left in the second quarter, Kansas trails 14-10 after a 26-yard field goal from kicker Tabor Allen. The drive took 4:37 off of the clock and went 67 yards in 15 plays.

UPDATE: 11:36 a.m. (CT): Baylor takes its first lead
Quarterack Sawyer Robertson found wide receiver Monaray Baldwin for another touchdown pass, and with 0:59 left in the first quarter Baylor leads 14-7 — including an extra point. The score came on a 39-yard throw. The drive lasted just 28 seconds and went 65 yards in two plays.
UPDATE: 11:26 a.m. (CT): Baylor ties the score
Baylor and Kansas are now tied up at 7-7 after a Bears touchdown drive and extra point with 2:51 left in the first quarter. Quarterack Sawyer Robertson found wide receiver Monaray Baldwin for a 36-yard touchdown pass. The drive went 75 yards in six plays and took 2:27 off of the clock.
UPDATE: 11:20 a.m. (CT): Kansas takes early lead
With 5:18 left in the first quarter, Kansas is up 7-0 after a touchdown drive and extra point. The Jayhawks scored on a 19-yard rushing touchdown from running back Devin Neal. The drive went 83 yards in seven plays and took 3:40 off of the clock.
