Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s Pushpa 2 – The Rule has been dominating the box office since Thursday, and more than its original language Telugu, it is the Hindi market that has been more accepting of the film. Over the past 4 days, the film has minted Rs 529 crore, of which Rs 285.7 crore has come from Hindi belt, while Rs 197.7 cr has come from Telugu.

The connection of the film in the Hindi market has been so strong, that it has become the highest grossing south film in Hindi in just 4 days, beating the likes of Yash’s KGF 2and SS Rajamouli-Prabhas’s Baahubali 2- The Conclusion.
While Pushpa 2 had premiere shows on 4th December, there weren’t any in Hindi. So business for Hindi began on 5th December, and till 9th December, the movie collected Rs 285.7 crore. It breaks the record of Yash’s KGF 2 which till now, held the record for highest collection in Hindi for week 1, with Rs 268 crore, and Baahubali 2 being in the second spot with Rs 247 crore. It has also beaten the lifetime Hindi collection of Ram Charan and NTR Jr’s RRR ( Rs 272 crore) in 4 days, and by the end of week 1, it will break Kalki 2898 AD’s record ( Rs 293 crore) as well.
The other big names in the Hindi circuit have been films like Kalki 2898 AD (162.5 crore), RRR ( Rs 132.5 crore) and Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire ( Rs 92.5 crore). It would be interesting to see if Pushpa 2 can break the lifetime Hindi record of Yash’s KGF 2 which collected Rs 435 crore, and SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’s Baahubali 2- The Conclusion, which minted Rs 511 crore.
