The Karnataka Government declared a public holiday on December 11 for all schools, colleges, government offices across the state as a mark of respect for former CM SM Krishna, who passed away on Tuesday morning.
A funeral with full state honors will be conducted for the departed leader at his native village, Somanahalli in Mandya District, a notification said.
Additionally, the state will observe three day mourning from December 10-12. During which, all public entertainment events are prohibited.
Earlier, the state government has released an official notification to this effect.
