IT giant Accenture has become an unintended focus of online criticism after Bengaluru techie’s death. The 34-year-old software engineer from Uttar Pradesh committed suicide allegedly over the demand of Rs 3 crore for a divorce settlement and allegations against the sitting judge, the Ekam Nyay Foundation, fighting for the rights of men, is preparing to approach the Supreme Court. Atul Subhash was married to Nikita Singhania – a Delhi-based AI engineering consultant working with Accenture.
‘Fire Atul Subhash’s wife’
The techie left a 40-page-long death note, explaining how the harassment by his wife and her family compelled him to end his life. His tragic death has ignited widespread outrage on social media. So much so that many users have called on Accenture to fire her, alleging that she played a role in driving the 34-year-old to take his own life.
“So @AccentureIndia @Accenture you still wanted to be proud employers of Nikita Singhania a lady who harassed and provoked her ex husband #AtulSubhash till he not committed suicide? @JulieSweet as CEO of #Accenture do you support her? strange you haven’t fired her yet,” said one user in an X post.
Sharing a post on X, a second user said “The wife of #AtulSubhash, Nisha Singhania works at @Accenture @AccentureIndia. On moral grounds & abetment to suicide charges on her, Accenture should terminate her from the job, if not then get ready to face the backlash.”
“#NikitaSinghania’s Employer #accenture locked profile due to the backlash it’s facing aftermath of viral #AtulSubhash’s Suicide not video. Instead Accenture could have Suspended Nikita and put matters to rest,” highlighted another.

Accenture locks X profile
Following social media targets and calls for the termination of Atul Subhash’s wife, Accenture has locked their X account profile.
Atul’s wife demanded Rs 3 crore
Bikas Kumar, the brother of the deceased Atul, stated, “The family of Atul’s wife was demanding Rs 3 crore for a settlement. The unreasonable demand of Rs 3 crore was acute mental harassment.”
“The wife made demands for money in front of the judge and told Atul that if he was not able to give the money, why doesn’t he end his life? The judge was laughing in the court over this statement. Is this not torture? Is this not mental harassment?”
“My brother has sacrificed his life. He had written everywhere “Justice is Due”. I want justice at any cost. My brother had sent email messages to the President of India, the Supreme Court of India. I expect them to change the law so that men will get some rights,” Bikas demanded.
“Not all men are culprits. Let them also get some legal immunity to present their case and prove that they are right,” he stated.
