‘New Low Pressure Area’ – Meteorological Center Information!

The Meteorological Department had officially announced that the Northeast Monsoon had started in Tamil Nadu on 15th October (15.10.2024). Meteorological Department has informed that it may move towards Maldives and adjoining Lakshadweep areas in West North West direction in the next 24 hours i.e. tomorrow (14.12.2024) at 9 am.

Meanwhile, the highest rainfall in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours was 50 cm in Tirunelveli district. Heavy rain has been reported. Also, Ariyalur district received 38 cm in Antimatam. 37 cm of rain in Killimangalam, Cuddalore district. Rain has also been reported. 30 cm in Alankulam, Tenkasi district, Minsuruti in Ariyalur district, Lalpettai in Cuddalore district. Rain is reported.
