Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchanwho have shared screen space in several films like Dhoom 2, Raavanand Kuch Naa Kaho, remain one of Bollywood’s most celebrated on-screen couples. In an interview with Friday Talkies, What can you say? director Rohan Sippy reminisced about working with the duo and expressed his admiration for Aishwarya.
Discussing the project, Rohan shared, “Refugee had just been released, and next was Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. Abhishek was fairly new then. I had a good informal rapport with him. On the other hand, we had a superstar like Aishwarya.”

Praising Aishwarya’s exceptional craft, Rohan said, “There are very few actors like her. As a complete Hindi film heroine, there haven’t been many after Aishwarya. Generations following her haven’t matched that level. Her dance, looks, and acting are simply on another level.”

Rohan also recalled how Aishwarya motivated him during the early stages of his career. “She was far more experienced but never made me feel it. She was encouraging and supportive, which gave me confidence. It makes a big difference when someone like her trusts you while you’re just starting out.”
Kuch Naa Kaho also featured Arbaaz Khan and Tannaz Irani alongside Abhishek and Aishwarya.
On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s I Want To Talk, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appeared in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil epic Ponniyin Selvan: II.
