After returning from the USA, where he promoted his upcoming film Game ChangerDil Raju informed the media that he would facilitate a meeting between industry leaders and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to find a mutually agreeable solution between the government and the film industry. “This meeting is crucial to address concerns and clear the misconception that the industry is aligned with big stars,” said a director. “They aim to show the government that they want to collaborate and work under its terms. Many big actors have supported the government during floods and other calamities, demonstrating no bias,” he added.
He also mentioned that CM Revanth Reddy has been supportive of the Telugu film industry, appointing Dil Raju as the chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation and reviving the Gadar Cine Awards. “The CM has made decisions in favor of the industry, including appointing a 17-member committee, led by legendary filmmaker B. Narsing Rao, to honor talent in the 2025 Gadar Cine Awards. Receiving a state award is a significant honor for Telugu filmmakers,” he said.
With the state government ruling out ticket hikes and benefit shows, one of the priorities for the industry may be requesting benefit shows for movies releasing during Sankranthi. Dil Raju’s Game Changerwhich has been in production for three years and cost over ₹400 crore, and Daaku Maharajare two major films set for release. “Fans of the Mega and Nandamuri families are eager to see Ram Charan and Balakrishna this festival. Industry leaders may request the restoration of benefit shows and ticket hikes, as Sankranthi is set to feature several star-studded, big-budget films,” he concluded.
