Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) will launch the Hyundai Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The new electric SUV aims to combine innovative technology, safety, and performance for Indian consumers. The vehicle boasts features like in-car payment, a digital key, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and single-pedal driving. Two battery options will be available, offering ranges of 390 km and 473 km.

Features
The Hyundai Creta Electric incorporates in-car payment technology. This allows drivers to pay for EV charging directly through the vehicle’s infotainment screen, accessing over 1,150 charging stations across India.
A digital key feature allows users to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle using their smartphone or smartwatch.
The ADAS-linked regenerative braking system automatically adjusts braking levels based on the distance from the vehicle ahead. Shift-by-wire (SBW) technology provides intuitive gear control. This system uses a column-type design. The i-Pedal single-pedal drive technology enables acceleration, deceleration, and complete stopping using only the accelerator pedal.
Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows users to power devices and appliances inside and outside the vehicle. The vehicle features dual 26.03cm (10.25”) curvilinear screens. These provide information on infotainment and a digital cluster display. A premium Bose 8-speaker sound system is included, along with complimentary in-car music streaming via Jio Saavan.
Advanced climate control features include touch-type dual-zone automatic temperature control (DATC), driver-only mode, and ventilated front seats. A cooled glove box and front armrest with cooled storage are also included.
The Hyundai Creta Electric features 268 embedded voice commands. This includes voice control for the panoramic sunroof. Hyundai Bluelink connectivity offers over 70 connected features for enhanced convenience and security.
The Hyundai Creta Electric’s body structure utilizes Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS). Hot stamping is extensively used for added protection. Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS includes 19 safety functions. These functions encompass Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning, and Smart Cruise Control with stop and go functionality.
Advanced safety features
The vehicle offers over 75 advanced safety features, with 52 standard across all variants. These standard features include six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brakes (EPB) with auto hold, Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Child Seat Anchor (ISOFIX), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Additional safety features include a surround-view monitor (SVM), blind-spot view monitor (BVM), rain-sensing wipers, and front parking sensors. The Hyundai Creta Electric boasts an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Battery variants
Two battery variants are available: a 51.4 kWh battery pack providing a range of 473 km and a 42 kWh battery pack offering a range of 390 km. The 51.4 kWh battery pack generates 126 kW (171 PS) of power, while the 42 kWh battery pack offers 99 kW (135 PS).
A battery heater is included for optimal charging performance and range in cold weather. An 11 kW smart connected wall box charger enables charging from 10% to 100% in 4 hours. The charger offers smart connectivity through the myHyundai App. Features of the app include remote charging start/stop, auto-schedule charging, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, charging session control and monitoring, a user-friendly dashboard, and remote notifications. DC fast charging allows for charging from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes. Active Air Flaps (AAF) are implemented to optimize energy efficiency and aerodynamics.
