Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) launched two new editions of its Honda Elevate SUV, the Black Edition and Signature Black Edition, on January 25, 2025. These editions, available in Crystal Black Pearl colour, were introduced in response to customer demand for a more stylish and sophisticated SUV. Honda Elevate black edition is launched at starting price of INR 15,51,000 and signature black edition at INR 15,71,000.
They offer blacked-out design elements both inside and out, building upon the top ZX grade with manual and CVT transmission options. Deliveries of the CVT variants began immediately, with manual transmission deliveries starting in February 2025.
“The demand for a distinct, premium, and exclusive SUV variant was strongly voiced by our customers. The Honda Elevate Black Edition and Signature Black Edition embody boldness and sophistication, providing a unique offering for those who value style and innovation. We are excited to introduce these editions to cater to evolving customer preferences and are confident that they will make a lasting impression in the SUV segment,” said Takuya TsumuraPresident & CEO of Honda Cars India Ltd.
Design
The Elevate Black Edition features black alloy wheels and nuts, chrome accents on the upper grille, and silver finish front and rear skid garnishes, lower door garnish, and roof rails. A “Black Edition” emblem adorns the rear.
The Elevate Signature Black Edition takes the blacked-out theme further with all-black exterior elements, including the alloy wheels, nuts, upper grille, skid garnishes, roof rails, and door lower garnish. It also features a “Signature Edition” emblem on the front fender.
The interior of both editions follows the blacked-out aesthetic. Black leatherette seats with black stitching, black PVC door pads and armrests, and an all-black dashboard create a cohesive and sporty ambiance.
The Signature Black Edition enhances the interior further with rhythmic 7-color ambient lighting, adding a touch of luxury to the cabin.
Both the Black Edition and Signature Black Edition are based on the Elevate’s top-tier ZX grade. This means they come standard with the model’s highest level of features and equipment.
Features
The powertrain for both editions remains the same as the standard Elevate ZX grade. They are powered by Honda’s 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, available with both manual and CVT transmission options.
Bookings for both the Honda Elevate Black Edition and Signature Black Edition opened at Honda dealerships across India starting on the launch date.
Deliveries
Deliveries of the CVT variants of both the Black Edition and Signature Black Edition commenced immediately upon launch in January 2025.
Deliveries for the manual transmission variants of both editions were scheduled to begin the following month, in February 2025.
The availability of both manual and CVT transmissions provides further flexibility for potential customers. The staggered delivery schedule, with CVT models available immediately and manual transmissions following shortly after, allows Honda to manage production and meet demand effectively.
