In a big development in the Pushpa 2 stampede case, the Nampally court in Hyderabad has granted several relaxations to Allu Arjun. The Telugu superstar is an accused in the case and was also arrested last month. However, he was granted bail later.
On Saturday, it was reported that the Pushpa 2 actor has been exempted from appearing at the Chikkadapally police station every Sunday. This came after Allu Arjun’s legal team requested an exemption citing security concerns. Besides this, Allu Arjun has also been granted permission to travel abroad now.
For the unversed, Allu Arjun is facing legal trouble for the death of a woman who died during a stampede that was caused at the Pushpa 2 premiere. The crowd went out of control after Allu Arjun stepped out of his car to greet fans attending the premiere. A woman died while her son was brutally injured. The boy has been hospitalised since.
The actor was arrested on December 13 in connection with the incident and was produced before the Nampally court, which remanded him to a 14-day judicial custody. He was granted interim bail for 4 weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. Later on January 3, Allu Arjun was granted regular bail in the case.
The custody ended on December 27 and following which Allu Arjun appeared in court via video conference. However, no decision was announced by the court then and the next hearing was pushed to December 30th, which was later postponed to January 3. On that day, the actor was finally granted regular bail.
Meanwhile, amid all of this, Allu Arjun was recently also grilled by the Hyderabad police in connection to the case. Reportedly, police officials are also likely file a petition in the court against the actor’s bail. They claim that Allu Arjun was asked to leave the theatre on December 4 but he refused to leave which later resulted in a stampede. The actor has not reacted to this claim as of now.
