Accident happened near Jalgaon
This accident happened near Pardhade village of Pachora tehsil of Jalgaon. Information has been received about 11 casualties in the incident. The train has been parked at Pachora railway station. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the officials reached the spot. It is being told that sparking started in the B4 bogie of the train, after which the rumor of fire in the train spread.
Rumor spread after sparking
Speaking to PTI, a senior railway official said, ‘Hot axle’ or ‘brake-binding’ (jamming) caused a spark inside a coach of Pushpak Express, which frightened some passengers. They pulled the chain and some of them jumped down from the tracks. At the same time, another train was passing from the adjacent track.
Death toll may increase
Nashik Divisional Commissioner Praveen Gedam said that ‘SP, Collector and other officials are reaching the spot after the accident. DRM and Railway officials are being contacted. 8 ambulances have reached the spot. He said, ‘Rescue vans and additional ambulances are reaching the spot. So far, 8 deaths have been reported, but this figure may increase further.
