A report from Jeff Sneider alleges that Marvel is potentially looking at Harris Dickinson, Sadie Sink, and Julia Butters to play starring roles as Scott Summers, Jean Grey, and Kitty Pryde, respectively, in the upcoming MCU X-Men film.

Deadline also reports Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus) has joined the cast of Monitora “high concept horror film” from directing duo Matt Black and Ryan Polly. The story concerns “a group of social media moderators [who] refuse to publish a horrifying video” prompting “a demonic creature to start following them across every screen in their lives. Feeding off fear, the creature hunts them down one by one and attacks until it gets what it wants… to be let out beyond the screen.”
This Is Not a Test
Fangoria has word Olivia Holt (Heart Eyes) will star in This Is Not a Testa “YA horror thriller” based on the novel by Courtney Summers. Directed by Adam MacDonald and co-starring Froy Gutierrez and Luke McFarlane, Holt will star as Sloane, “one of five students who take cover in Cortege High to escape a world plagued by the infected. As danger relentlessly pounds on the doors, Sloane begins to see the world through the eyes of people who actually want to live and takes matters into her own hands.”

During a recent interview with Collider, Alien: Romulus director Fede Alvarez revealed he’d finally like to make “a gold old slasher” movie.
On the horror side I would love to do a good old slasher. I haven’t done that really. I mean I have possession movies with Evil Deadsci-fi horror. A kind of classic slasher. I don’t think I would, you know, I wouldn’t go for an IP necessarily, but a part of me that’s sort of like very old school 80s. That I would love to do.
