The latest photoshoot pics from Bollywood star Deepika Padukone‘s return to the runway has sparked an online debate.
The actress, who made her long-awaited return to the spotlight after maternity leave, shared photos from last month’s event on her Instagram handles. However, many noticed the stark difference between videos from her ramp walk and the official photoshoot images.
The actress, who welcomed daughter Dua with husband Ranveer Singh in September 2024, made a grand comeback last month as the showstopper for designer Sabyasachi. Rocking an elegant white ensemble and sporting a dramatic headpiece along with the designer’s signature oversized glasses, Deepika’s runway appearance was widely praised. Fans marvelled at her radiant post-pregnancy glow and fuller features while celebrating her return to the fashion scene.
However, the new outtakes from her photoshoot at the event showcased her with noticeably sharper and slimmer facial features, starkly contrasting the softer, fuller look seen in ramp walk videos. This led to speculation among fans about whether the actress had digitally altered her photos.
While some netizens were convinced that the images had been retouched, others argued that it could simply be a case of different camera angles, lighting, or even the “wrong frames”.
One fan wrote, “The Photoshop removed all her cheek fat.” Another said, “It would have been much better if she had put out her real, unedited pics to send a message that it’s OKAY to not look perfect if you have just delivered a baby.”
