After Films like Bhakshak, Afwah, and BHEED, Bhumi pednekar is all set to return to comedy with Mudassar aziz’s Mere Husband Ki Biwiwhere she teams up with Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh. In the film, Bhumi plays Prableen, a character suffering from partial amnesia who is determined to marry Arjun’s character—completely forgetting that they had divorced a while back.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actress opened about if she is actually very forgetful in real life, she said , “ Main to har 5 minute mein bhool jati ho. I’m a very big space cadet , main to woh bhi point bhul chuki hu jo mujhe bolna chahiye tha .. you are asking a mess of a person. ( I forget every five minutes. I’m a very big space cadet—I even forgot the point I was supposed to say. You’re asking a mess of a person.)
Agreeing with Bhumi’s statement, her director Mudassar Aziz joked, “We have done method casting for this role (laughs). People do method acting; we do method casting (laughs). But she is right—she does forget a lot. She and I are phone buddies. We can talk for a long time, and she’ll start a conversation passionately. After 15 minutes, she’ll ask, ‘What was I talking about?’ (laughs).”
Following this film, Bhumi will soon make her OTT debut with The Royalswhere she will be seen alongside Ishaan khatter, Zeenat is safeand Sakshi Tanwar. She plays Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, the CEO of a luxury homestay startup in India. Additionally, she is set to star in another web series titled Daldalwhere she will portray a cop for the first time. Taking to Instagram last October, she described her role as DCP Rita Ferreira as one of the most complex characters of her career.
