South Korean automaker Whenever has revealed the exterior designs of its PV5 passenger and cargo modelsahead of the 2025 Kia Ev Day in Tarragona, Spain, later this month. This will be the second edition of the event after its 2023 edition organised in South Korea.
The PV5, based on the Concept PV5 shown at CES 2024, is Kia’s first model under its new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) global business strategy, aiming to redefine space and mobility.
The PV5 leverages Kia’s EV technology and offers flexibility and customisation through modularity.
PV5 PASSENGER
Design
The PV5 passenger model features a refined geometric profile for a contemporary look and enhanced visibility due to its large window area and low beltline. Black graphic glass surrounds frame the windows, contrasting with the body color. Black wheel arch claddings and rocker panels provide continuity with Kia’s SUV lineup, suggesting an off-road capability.
The PV5 passenger’s headlight units have bold signature lighting and sleek black accents. A parting line on the profile enhances the geometric silhouette. The single lift-up tailgate door sits above a sturdy bumper, mirroring the protective corners at the front.
The PV5 cargo model shares the geometric design language of the passenger model, but with a boxier profile to maximise space efficiency. The design maintains a clean, modern aesthetic. The cargo model distinguishes itself with twin side-opening tailgate doors for practical loading and unloading.
The design of the PV5 cargo complements its sleek side lines and maximises load capacity, creating a spacious feel. The twin doors offer users the ability to customise their experience. Kia’s focus is on providing practical solutions for diverse needs.
