The Tata Nexon EV now gets only two battery pack options – down from three – as the Indian brand has discontinued the mid-spec 40.5kWh battery version. At the launch of the Nexon EV facelift in September 2023, the all-electric compact SUV was offered with 30kWh (MR) and 40.5kWh (LR) battery options; Tata added the 45kWh battery option a year later.
- Tata Nexon EV now has 10 variants
- Tata Nexon EV LR 40.5kWh was priced in the Rs 14.59 lakh-16.29 lakh range
- Nexon EV 30kWh and 45kWh MIDC range is 275km and 489km, respectively

The Tata Nexon EV now is available in eight trim levels, some of which are only for a specific battery pack option, which means there are a total of 10 variants of the electric compact SUV. The Nexon EV MR comes with the 30kWh battery, which has an MIDC range of 275km, and is offered in Creative +, Fearless, Fearless +, Fearless +S and Empowered trims. Meanwhile, the Nexon EV 45 comes with the 45kWh battery that has an MIDC range of 489km. It is available in Creative, Fearless, Empowered, Empowered + and Red Dark forms.

The Nexon EV Red Dark is only available with the top-spec 45 Empowered + variant.
As the 40.5kWh versions fell in the middle of the model’s line-up – Rs 14.59 lakh-16.29 lakh – the overall price range remains the same at Rs 12.49 lakh to 17.19 lakh. In our real-world range teststhe Nexon EV LR 40.5kWh delivered an overall range of 273km on a full charge, which is considerably less than the MIDC-quoted 390km figure, but closer to Tata’s C75 figure of 290-310km. Tata Motors says the C75 test cycle is a near-real-world driving range, and 75 percent of owners can expect to achieve this figure.
