Samsung has launched two new budget-friendly smartphones, the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G, in India. The M16 and M06 5G are being billed to offer “segment-leading” features like up to six generations of OS upgrades. The Galaxy M16 5G starts at Rs 12,499 and the M06 5G at Rs 9,999. Both devices will be available to buy only on e-commerce website Amazon.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G in a choice of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. The 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 12,499, the 6GB at Rs 13,999, and the 8GB at Rs 15,499. The Galaxy M16 5G will available starting 5th March. The Galaxy M06 5G will go on sale two days later, from 7th March.
The Galaxy M06 5G comes in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB configurations for Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,499 respectively.
The M16 5G comes in three colours: Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black. The M06 5G comes in two: Sage Green and Blazing Black.

The Galaxy M16 5G has a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy M06 5G makes do with 720p, also 6.7-inch. Both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
Samsung is committing to 6 years of OS upgrades on the M16 5G while the M06 5G get 4 years of support.
The Galaxy M16 5G has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel wide, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and another 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera is a 13MP. The Galaxy M06 5G gets dual cameras on the rear with a 50-megapixel wide and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The front camera is 8MP.
“With a refreshed design, these devices are built to enhance both style and performance, featuring MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and full 5G support across operators,” Akshay S Rao, General Manager, MX Business, Samsung India said in a prepared statement. “The Galaxy M16 5G also sets a new benchmark with a segment-leading FHD+ Super AMOLED display, six generations of OS upgrades, and the introduction of Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay functionality.”
