Sivasri Skandaprasad is an artist from Chennai known for her contributions to Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam, and visual arts. Born on August 1, 1996, she is the daughter of the Mridangam maestro Seerkazhi Sri J Skandaprasad.
Sivasri Skandaprasad hails from a long line of famous dancers and musicians. Her grandmother, Shanthi Jayaraman, was a well-known vocalist for top Bharatanatyam performers, and her paternal grandpa, Kalaimamani late Seerkazhi R. Jayaraman, was a famous musician. Her paternal grandfather, Kalaimamani late Seerkazhi R. Jayaraman, was an established musician, while her grandmother Shanthi Jayaraman, was a popular leader for Bharatanatyam artistes.

Talking about her education, Sivasri Skandaprasad earned a B.Tech in Bio-Engineering at the SASTRA University in Thanjavur. She also has an MA in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras and a diploma in Ayurvedic cosmetology.
Having studied classical Carnatic music under Guru Sri A S Murali, Sivasri Skandaprasad has received numerous distinguished music honours. Among the honours she has received are the Yuva Samman Award, the Bhajana Bhushan, and the Bharatha Kala Choodamani.
