Electric scooters generally cost a little more than their petrol-powered counterparts.
Please advise me on what electric scooter to buy. I need to purchase an economic EV scooter for my staff priced between Rs 50-60 thousand for use in Solapur’s outskirts.

Autocar India says: While there are electric scooters available at the price range you have mentioned, these are mostly low quality products of Chinese origin. We’d advise that you avoid such products as long term quality and reliability is a concern. Our advice is to select an EV from a reputable manufacturer from the likes of Ather, Bajaj, Hero and TVS. Of these, the base Chetak, iQube or Vida V2 models come closest to your budget, but will still require you to extend to around Rs 1 lakh.
If you would like to stay within your budget, we would recommend that you look for a used petrol powered scooter instead.
