Initially set to stream on March 17, the movie became available on March 14, coinciding with the vibrant Holi celebrations. This early release has sparked excitement among fans, who are now able to watch the film online sooner than expected.
Netflix surprised fans by confirming the early digital release of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’. The streaming giant announced, “The gripping story of power and peril. Watch Emergency, now on Netflix. #EmergencyOnNetflix”.

‘Emergency’ is a gripping historical biographical drama that unfolds against the tumultuous backdrop of India’s emergency period, which lasted from June 25, 1975, to March 21, 1977, under the leadership of Indira Gandhi, the nation’s first female Prime Minister. Kangana Ranaut assumes a multifaceted role in the film, not only portraying Indira gandhi but also directing and producing it, thereby imbuing the historical narrative with her unique perspective. In addition to Kangana, the film boasts an impressive cast, featuring Anupam Kher, Vishak nairMilind Soman, Shreyas TalpadeMahima Chaudhry, The Late Satish Kaushik, and Bhumika chawla.
