Fast Charging variants are equipped with a 17.4 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 230 km on a single charge.JSW MG Motor India has launched the 2025 MG Comet EV, an updated version of their city car, with enhanced features and a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh (with Battery-as-a-Service at Rs 2.5/km).
The new model offers more convenience and technology, including a rear parking camera, power-folding mirrors, and a premium audio system in higher variants. The company aims to cater to the growing demand for practical and tech-savvy urban mobility solutions. A special Blackstorm edition is also available.
Variants
The 2025 Comet EV is available in five variants: Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charge. The Excite and Excite FC variants now include a rear parking camera and power-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). These additions aim to improve both convenience and safety for drivers.
The Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants feature upgraded leatherette seats and a four-speaker audio system. These enhancements provide a more premium feel to the interior. Fast Charging variants are equipped with a 17.4 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 230 km on a single charge.

Comet Blackstorm edition, launched in February 2025, expands the Comet EV lineup. It is priced at Rs 7.80 lakh with Battery-as-a-Service at Rs 2.5 per kilometer. This edition features a distinctive ‘Starry Black’ exterior with dark chrome accents, black badges, and red highlights.
MG e-Shield
The MG Comet EV offers a comprehensive ownership package called MG e-Shield. This package covers repair and service costs. The 3-3-3-8 service package includes a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty, 3 years of Roadside Assistance (RSA), and 3 free labor services for the first three scheduled services. It also includes an 8-year or 1 lakh 20 thousand km battery warranty.
