Kia Indian has announced that it will increase prices by up to 3 per cent on all its models starting April 1, 2025, due to rising commodity and supply chain costs. The company aims to balance maintaining vehicle quality while minimising the impact on customers. Kia has sold a combined total of 1.45 million vehicles in India and internationally.
This announcement comes after Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors have announced their vehicle price hike.
The price increase affects the entire Kia lineup and comes as a response to increasing expenses for materials and supply chain operations.
Kia sales
Kia’s sales figures highlight the popularity of its models. The Seltos leads with over 690,000 units sold. The Sonet follows with over 500,000 units sold. The Carens has sold over 232,000 units, and the Carnival has sold over 15,000 units. These figures contribute to Kia’s overall sales milestone of 1.45 million vehicles.
“While we understand that price adjustments can be challenging, this decision has been made to ensure we can continue delivering the high-quality, technologically advanced vehicles that our customers expect from Kia. To minimise the impact on our customers, Kia is absorbing a significant portion of the increased costs, ensuring that the price adjustment remains as manageable as possible for our valued customers,” said Hardeep Singh Brar, sr. vice president – sales and marketing, Kia India, regarding the price adjustment.
