Toyota Kirlloskar Motor (TKM) concluded its International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations with two events at its Bidadi manufacturing facility. Over 700 women employees participated, highlighting TKM’s commitment to women’s empowerment and inclusivity in the automotive industry.
The events focused on work-life balance, career developmentand celebrating the contributions of women in the workforce. TKM aims to achieve 30 per cent women representation by 2030.
Focus on work-life balance and career development
The first event, held on March 12, 2025, focused on work-life balance for over 250 women employees. Senior women leaders shared their experiences and insights, and interactive activities fostered camaraderie. This event provided guidance to younger employees on managing both personal and professional responsibilities.
A larger event on March 16, 2025, saw over 450 women employees participate. The chief guest, R. day (iAS)Secretary, Karnataka State Commission for Women & Director, Directorate of Child Protection, shared her career journey. She encouraged attendees to set ambitious goals and break traditional career stereotypes.
Latha remarked, “Empowering women isn’t just about opportunities, it’s about instilling confidence and inspiring them to set ambitious goals. Such initiatives create lasting impacts by not only empowering women professionally but also contributing positively to society at large.”
Cultural performances by women employees, including singing, dancing, and Yakshagana, showcased TKM’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. These performances celebrated the diverse cultural heritage within the organization.

TKM’s ongoing initiatives include the construction of a state-of-the-art P3 plant. This facility is being designed with female-friendly features and aims to accommodate up to 30 per cent women employees.
