Nissan Motor India has announced plans to introduce two new vehicles to its product portfolio in India. The company recently showcased the models at its Global Product Showcase Event held in Yokohama, Japan. This move aligns with Nissan’s strategy to strengthen its presence in India by expanding its offerings across high-growth segments.
7-Seater B-MPV scheduled for FY25
The first of the new models is a 7-seater B-MPV, set to launch in FY25. The vehicle features a C-shaped grille design with muscular attributes, reflecting Nissan’s design philosophy. This addition aims to complement Nissan’s existing presence in the B-SUV segment, which is currently led by the Nissan Magnite.
5-Seater C-SUV to follow in FY26
Following the B-MPV, Nissan plans to introduce a 5-seater C-SUV in early FY26. The C-SUV, inspired by the Nissan Patrol, has been designed with a focus on meeting the demands of one of the most competitive segments in India. It will feature proprietary technologies and a design that reflects Nissan’s global SUV heritage.
Nissan aims to have four models available in India by FY26, covering the B/C and D-SUV segments. The company also plans to enhance its domestic performance and expand export operations as part of its growth strategy.
