Actor Boman Irani recently shared an emotional moment as he revisited one of Mumbai’s iconic hotels, where his journey once began. Taking to Instagram, he posted a heartfelt video of himself walking through the hotel’s grand hallways. He captioned the post, “Life comes full circle…” The video, which was also shared by industrialist Harsh Goenka on X (formerly Twitter), showed Irani’s incredible journey from working in room service to becoming a well-known Bollywood actor. His story touched many hearts, proving that no dream is too big and no beginning too small.
Boman’s early days in the hotel
For Irani, the hotel holds a special place in his heart. In the video, he recalled working in the hotel’s room service department in 1979. “I’ve worked here in other departments too, but most of my work was in these passages, walking up and down when I was in room service,” he said. He remembered carrying trays with tea, coffee, drinks, fruit baskets, and breakfast orders—an experience that shaped his work ethic and character.
“A great, great learning experience over here,” Irani said. “It taught me discipline; it taught me that in life, nothing comes easy. You’ve got to pay your dues and work hard.” His voice, full of nostalgia, reflected how much those early days meant to him.
Returning to the hotel was more than just a trip down memory lane. He had just finished giving a corporate talk at the venue, and in recognition of his achievements, the hotel offered him a beautiful suite and a special dinner. This moment was not just a celebration of his acting career but a tribute to his journey from humble beginnings to success. Reflecting on his return, Irani said, “It’s so lovely to be back. I’m a little overwhelmed. It’s so beautiful.”
