ANANTAPUR: At least one lakh sachets of Talambralu along with a pearl and kankanam would be distributed on the day of the celestial marriage of Lord Kodanda Rama Swamy and Goddess Sitha at Vontimitta in Kadapa district on April 11.
The preparation of holy Talambralu for the Sri Sitarama Kalyanam began in the PAC building at Vontimitta on Sunday.
TTD started the packing programme of Pearl Talambralus, which are very important for the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam that would be held in moonlight on April 11 as part of Sri Kodanda Ramaswamy Brahmotsavams.
Initially, special pujas were performed by priests in the temple, and the Talambralu were brought to the PAC adjacent to the Kalyanavedika in a procession. Around 425 Srivari Sevaks of TTD from places near Kadapa and Annamaiah districts participated in the preparation of holy rice and Mutyala Talambralu to the tune of one lakh packets. TTD deputy EO Prashanthi and other officials participated in this programme.
The Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavams of the Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple began with the ceremonious Dhwajarohanam on Sunday morning. The celestial Garuda flag was hoisted in the holy Vrishabha lagnam as per the tenets of Pancharatra Agama Shastra in a religious manner in the presence of Utsava deities. This ritual was conducted under the auspices of Kankanabattar Rajesh Kumar.

Chatur Vedas were recited by TTD Vedic scholars. TTD officials, Archakas and a large number of devotees participated in the events.
As part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy, a Kavi Sammelanam was held on Sunday under the auspices of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of the TTD to commemorate the birth anniversary of renowned Telugu Poet Sri Bammera Pothana. The programme was presided over by Sriram Raghunath, secretary to HDPP. Prominent scholars and poets participated in the literature fete.
The Sri Bhagavata Prashasthyam Whole Narayana Reddy delivered the Rukmini Sandesham.

The Sampoorna Ramayana settings arranged by TTD for the first time has been attracting swarms of devotees at the Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama temple. This was put up in the temple premises by the TTD gardens department, marking the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams.
In the settings of Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and ShatruGhna, Those of Dasharatha, Kausalya, Sumitra, Kaikeyi and Vishwamitra Maharshi Have All Been Attracting Devotees.
Besides, the episodes of Sri Rama Lakshmana protecting Yagna from the demons Maricha and Subahu, Sri Rama and Lakshmana killing the demons, Sri Ramachandra shooting the bow of Shiva in the court of King Janaka to marry Sita Devi and many other episodes convey the story of Ramayana in an impressive manner.
Similarly, the artworks depicting scenes of Ravana abducting Sita, the Vanara Sena building a bridge to Lanka, Lakshmana cutting off the nose and ears of the demoness Surpanakha, and the coronation ceremony attract the devotees. Apart from this display, the floral decoration has been done with various types of traditional flowers and cut flowers inside and outside the temple, enchanting the devotees.
Similarly, TTD is continuously providing delicious Annaprasadams to thousands of devotees who visit Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavams at the Sri Kodandaramaswamy Temple in Vontimitta. Drinking water and buttermilk are being provided non-stop to the devotees who come for the darshan of Sri Rama.
German sheds and coolers have been set up in the temple premises so that the devotees do not have to suffer from the scorching temperatures.
Every day, breakfast is served at 7:30am while from 10:30am to 4pm, and again from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. Items like rice, sambar, rasam, buttermilk, pachchadi, curry, jaggery pongal are served, TTD sources said and added that about 50 staff from the TTD Annaprasadam department are working on this while around 100 sevaks are rendering services to the scores of visiting pilgrims in the Annaprasadam wing every day.
