Hyderabad: Even as the police are probing the case related to rape bid in Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) train on March 22, an alert woman escaped safely when a person tried to misbehave with her on the tracks at Gowdavalli railway station in Medchal-Malkagiri district on Sunday night.
Medchal Inspector J Satyanarayana said a case was booked based on a complaint lodged by the woman. “As the incident happened near Gowdavalli railway station, we are transferring the case to Secunderabad railway police for further action as the place of offence comes under their limits,” he said.
“We don’t know why she went near the tracks and on seeing her, a person tried to misbehave with her. The woman mustered courage and picked a stone and attacked him. Even before the person retaliates she left the premises immediately and alerted the police,” the Inspector explained.
