2025 maruti eeco safety upgrades
Eeco joins growing list of Maruti Suzuki cars with six airbags

Prior to this update, the Eeco came equipped with only two airbags. However, Maruti Suzuki has been making efforts to enhance occupant protection across its entire model portfolio, with the High k10, Breeze, Celerio etc, having been updated with six airbags as standard in recent months.
In addition to the six airbags, the Eeco now comes with three-point seatbelts for all passengers, with the front seats also featuring seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters. Aside from these, the MPV continues to offer anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution, and seatbelt reminders for the front seats.

The updated Eeco line-up drops the older 7-seat layout, and in its place, Maruti Suzuki has added two new 6-seat variants that come with second-row captain seats. The 5-seat variants remain unchanged.

Since this is a model refresh, no alterations have been made to the Eeco’s exterior or interior. The MPV still gets rectangular halogen headlamps, vertically-oriented tail-lamps and 13-inch steel wheels without covers. It’s much the same on the inside, with the same dashboard layout and three-spoke steering wheel. However, there is some new trim on the pillars and updated roof liners to accommodate the airbags.
New features included in 2025 update
The Eeco now comes with fabric seat upholstery (previously PVC) and outboard reclining front seats (previously inboard). For the 5-seat variants, the boot also features luggage retention, which restricts luggage movement during a collision to ensure passenger safety.

Now E20-compliant
While the Eeco is still powered by an 80hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual, it has been updated to support E20 fuel (20 percent ethanol, 80 percent petrol) in accordance with recent government regulations.
A 70hp CNG variant is also available for those looking to extract as much fuel efficiency as possible from the Eeco. However, the CNG kit is only available for the 5-seat variants, with the 6-seat Eeco models solely available with the petrol engine.
