Following the infamous stabbing of Saif Ali Khan, the Bandra Police submitted the charge sheet in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court on April 8, 2025. The charge sheet reveals the intricate and horrifying details regarding the case.
According to the Free Press Journal, the documents cited that 111 witnesses were examined, and 48 statements were recorded by the police. The accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad30, spent an hour hiding inside Khan’s building, Satguru Sharan, before attacking the family and later stayed an hour in the nearby building, Bharati Villa.

In the statement given by Kareena Kapoor, she chronicled the entire incident. The actress left the house at 7.30 p.m. at Rhea Kapoor’s residence for work purposes and retured at 1.20 a.m. After arriving at her house, Kareena checked on her elder son, Taimur, in his bedroom, followed by Jeh’s room and saw him sleeping while his nanny Junu was near his bed.
When she entered her bedroom, Junu rushed in, claiming that a man had entered Jeh’s room and was demanding money. The couple charged towards his bedroom and saw a man in a black t-shirt near Jeh’s bed. When Saif tried to confront him, the intruder attacked him. “I then yelled at Eliamma to take Jeh out of the bedroom,” Kareena stated. The actress, the helper, and Jeh went to the 12th floor, and after a while, Saif, who was drenched in blood, entered the floor looking for something to defend himself with. Kareena, who was concerned about Saif’s injuries, asked him to go to the hospital. “Yeh sab chhod do, neeche chalo, hospital jaate hain,” she claimed.
All of them went to the ground floor while others searched for the intruder. Khan, Hari (one of their helps), and Taimur, who was determined to go with his father, went to Lilavati hospital with the help of the auto rickshaw. Kareena followed and reached the hospital, and by then, Saif Ali Khan had been admitted.

In the statement given by Saif Ali Khan, he claimed, “That evening, I had dinner with my sons around 7.30 p.m. At 10 p.m., I went to my bedroom. My wife arrived home around 1.30 a.m. Around 2 a.m., while we were sleeping, Jeh’s nanny came to our door shouting that a man with a knife had entered Jeh’s room.”
When Khan tried to confront him, the accused stabbed him with the knives he held in both hands. The injuries were inflicted on the 54-year-old’s neck, back, chest, hands, and legs. When another nanny, Geeta, tried to intervene in the assault, the accused attacked her as well. Saif and Geeta left the room, and the intruder could not be found despite the efforts made by the help.
How did the intruder enter?
Additionally, the charge sheet mentioned that the intruder was around the Satguru sharn building since 3 p.m. and inspected the area till 6.45 p.m. on January 15. At 6.45 p.m., he was at the back of the actor’s building and entered the nearby building, Bharti Villa, at 6.59 p.m. The accused entered the actor’s building through Bharti Avenue.
