Hyderabad: Two young children, Tanmaya Sri, 5, and Abhinaya Sri, 4, died of suffocation after becoming trapped inside a locked car in Damaragidda, Chevella mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
The children were playing and entered the vehicle, and the doors subsequently locked. Unobserved, they succumbed to suffocation.
When the children did not return home, their concerned family initiated a search. They discovered the children unconscious inside the car and immediately shifted them to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
