Update: Today’s PZ vs KK PSL match postponed
Pakistan Cricket Board released a statement around two hours ahead of toss time that the Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings match has been postponed.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board, in consultation with all the stakeholders, has decided to reschedule tonight’s HBL PSL X match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. The PCB will announce the revised date in due course.”
The match is an important clash for Peshawar Zalmi’s Qualification Chanceswho are sitting fifth, with eight points from eight games. A win here will take them above Lahore Qalandars in fourth. Karachi Kings, while second on the table, are still vulnerable to missing out on knockout qualification, and could even go down to fourth if they lose big, making this an important encounter for them as well.

PZ vs KK: Team news
Peshawar have won their last two matches with Babar Azam scoring a half-century in one and Saim Ayub getting 49 in the other, signalling a welcome return to runs. They’d fancy keeping the momentum going against and try and get their -0.082 net run rate into the positive with a comprehensive victory.
Karachi are heading into the game on the back of two victories as well, an 87-run hammering of Multan Sultans and a clinical chase in a shortened game against Lahore Qalandars. Abbas Afridi and Hasan Ali have been leading the way with the ball for them, having picked up 15 and 14 wickets respectively to sit first and joint-second on the tournament wicket-takers list. With the bat, James Vince has provided solidity at No.3, while Irfan Khan has been at his explosive best in the middle order.
