Audi has teased its third-generation Q3 SUV for the first time ahead of its global reveal on June 16, 2025. While the second-generation Audi Q3 was launched in India in 2022it has been on sale in international markets since 2018, making a generational update inevitable.

Headlights now positioned on the bumper

Audi dropped two images teasing the exterior of the 2025 Q3. The first of these images (as seen in the thumbnail) shows a sleek A-pillar, along with a chiselled front and strong fender lines. The second image (as seen above) teases all-new pixel-shaped DRLs. Earlier spy shots of Q3 test mules revealed that the headlamps will now be mounted on the bumper, instead of the conventional setup on the current car. No details about the upcoming Q3’s interior were shared by the German carmaker.

Likely to have petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrain
Current-gen Audi Q3’s 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (used for representation only).
The current Q3 in India is powered by a 2-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 190hp and 320Nm. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox with quattro all-wheel-drive as standard. Audi may retain the powertrain in the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1 rival. Notably, in markets like the UK, the Q3 is also sold with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
