In the series, Sachivji (Jitendra Kumar) returns, and the main plot revolves around the conflict between Manju Devi (Naening Guop) And Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar) over the phulera Panchayat Elections.Neena Gupta’s outstanding portrayal of Manju Devi is the one aspect of Panchayat Season 4 that hasn’t changed. Earlier as well, the National Film Award-winning actress has starred in several critically and commercially acclaimed films throughout the course of her career. However, she has had her fair share of rejections. Once in an interview, the actress spoke about a Hollywood movie that slipped away from her hands.She had auditioned for the role of Priya Singh in Tenet, Christopher Nolan‘s 2020 sci-fi action thriller, in LA. However, she didn’t make it past the audition, and Dimple Kapadia joined the cast instead.On the popular talk show, ‘What Women Want Season 5,’ the veteran actress revealed,“I auditioned for Tenet (for) director Christopher Nolan. I went to LA for one day to meet him, and came back. First, I did the audition here and sent it to him. They selected five ladies. Then, ultimately Dimple (Kapadia) did the role. She did not even go there.”“Main Dimple ko milungi to bolungi ki tu gai bhi nahi. It is a director’s image of the character. You cannot say anything about it,” She humorously added, “I fail in auditions. If there’s no audition, I ace it. But I always get rejected during auditions.” Dimple Kapadia, who played the role of Priya, the enigmatic wife of a Mumbai arms dealer, has previously spoken about how she got the role. Initially thinking the call was a prank, she reluctantly auditioned and met Nolan in Mumbai.Reflecting on her experience, Dimple said, “I went just to get a picture with him, but when I got the part, I was so nervous.”The blockbuster movie, Tenet, marked Dimple’s debut in Hollywood.
