This update for the TVS Apache was teased a few days ago.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 has been around for quite some time and through its life, it has only received incremental updates. Now, to keep the RTR 160 going, TVS has updated it to comply with the stringent OBD2B norms that came into effect recently and added a new top-variant. With this update, the brand has also thrown in dual-channel ABS to the mix and the alloy wheels are now red in colour.
Apart from the OBD2B compliance, the Apache 160 2V’s 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor remains unchanged and is rated for 16hp at 8,750rpm and 13.85Nm at 7,000rpm.
At Rs 1.34 lakh, this dual-channel ABS variant commands a Rs 4,000 increment over the next variant which is the Racing Edition and is available in two paint options – matte black and gloss white. For reference, the Apache RTR 160 range starts at Rs 1.21 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.34 lakh for this top-spec dual-channel ABS variant.
