Hyundai Motor India sales dip 6% to 60,924 units in June 2025, ET Auto

The company recorded a 13 per cent year-on-year increase in exports for the quarter, up from 42,600 units in Q1 FY2025. Export contribution to total sales rose to 26.7 per cent, up from 22.2 per cent.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) reported total sales of 60,924 units in June 2025, registering a 6 per cent decline compared to 64,803 units in June 2024.

Domestic sales fell 12.1 per cent to 44,024 units in June 2025 from 50,103 units in June 2024.

Exports grew 15 per cent year-on-year to 16,900 units, up from 14,700 units in June 2024.

Quarterly performance and export growth

For Q1 FY2026 (April–June), HMIL reported total sales of 1,80,399 units, which includes 1,32,259 units sold domestically and 48,140 units exported.The company recorded a 13 per cent year-on-year increase in exports for the quarter, up from 42,600 units in Q1 FY2025. Export contribution to total sales rose to 26.7 per cent, up from 22.2 per cent.

Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and COO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Underscoring the global appeal of Hyundai vehicles, we recorded a 13 per cent year-on-year growth in export volumes for Q1 FY2026, with 48,140 units shipped compared to 42,600 units in the same period last year. This has elevated the share of exports to 26.7 per cent of total sales in Q1 FY2026, up from 22.2 per cent in Q1 FY2025.”

He added that domestic demand in June remained affected by the ongoing geopolitical environment, but the company remains cautiously optimistic, supported by improving liquidity and upcoming production from its Talegaon plant.
