Amazon Prime Day is almost upon us – and this year’s event is twice as long as previous ones.
The four-day summer sales event officially kicks off at midnight PDT on Tuesday, July 8, and runs through Friday, July 11. However, Prime members have already had early access to savings up of 50% or more on some purchases.
This marks Amazon’s 11th Prime Day event and the ecommerce giant promises millions of deals over more than 35 categories including electronics and kitchen, apparel and accessories.
Certain brands such as Dyson, Philips Sonicare, Shark and Goal Zero are already offering deals for the event, and certain influencers have begun dropping deals on various products, too.
During last year’s eventonline shoppers spent a record-setting $14.2 billion, up 11% from 2023, according to sales tracking data from Adobe Analytics.

When does Amazon Prime Day begin?
The sales event begins at 12 a.m. PDT/3 a.m. EDT on July 8.

What items will be on sale as part of Amazon Prime Day?
Here are some early savings deals customers can take advantage of:
- Amazon Prime Video deals: Prime members will be able to choose from nearly two dozen add-on subscription video channels including Apple TV+, Cinemax, Paramount+ and Starz and for as low as $0.99 per month for 2 months.
- Amazon device sales: Amazon says it is offering its lowest price ever on select Amazon Devices, including the Blink Mini 2 two-pack and Ring Battery Doorbell with Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus bundle. Shoppers can also save up to 50% on eero 6+ mesh wifi system, Fire HD 8 Plus tablet, Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series televisions, Kindle Essentials bundle, and Ring Indoor Cam.
- Grocery deals: Savings on food, drinks and other groceries include up to 30% on Frito-Lay products, up to 25% on Ferrero Rocher and Red Bull, and 20% on Nespresso pods. Also, Prime members can get three months free of unlimited grocery delivery on orders of more than $35 from Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market and other supermarkets and retailers and customers with a registered EBT card can sign up for the Amazon grocery subscription and get 3 months free—unlocking unlimited free grocery delivery on orders over $35 across Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and an array of local grocery and specialty retailers available on Amazon.com, as well as more convenient delivery and pickup options. How much is an Amazon Prime membership?
Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month, or $139 per year. Subscribing to only Prime Video costs $8.99 per month. Students and shoppers between the ages of 18 and 24 can sign up for $7.49 per month, or $69 per year.
