Range Rover has announced a new addition to its flagship SV portfolio—the Range Rover SV Blacka sophisticated all-black interpretation of luxury set to go on sale in late 2025. Alongside the existing SV Serenity and SV Intrepid models, SV Black will offer a sleek and stealthy design, complete with gloss black exteriors and rich ebony interiors featuring near-aniline leather, satin black ceramic detailing, and black birch veneers.
Design and features
The SV range introduces pioneering in-cabin technology and for the first time, Sensory Floor technology debuts alongside body-and-soul-seat (BASS) systems, both standard on long-wheelbase SV models. This innovative setup uses AI-optimised software to deliver immersive haptic audio feedback via transducers placed in the floor mats and seats. The system enhances the listening experience while offering six wellness programmes designed to reduce stress and improve focus.
The SV Black is powered by a 615PS V8 engine and will be available in both standard and long-wheelbase variants, in four- and five-seat configurations. It will be previewed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 10–13, 2025.
Range Rover is also introducing new Pirelli P Zero tyres made from more than 70 per cent bio-based and recycled materials, including silica from rice husks and FSC-certified natural rubber. These tyres will be available initially with select 22-inch wheel options.
