KTM 390 Adventure X now gets traction control
All these features were earlier reserved for the top-spec 390 Adventure
A few months after launching its all-new Adventure range, KTM has updated its most affordable 390 Adventure variant, the X. It now comes equipped with several features borrowed from the top-spec 390 Adventure, including cruise control, riding modes (Street, Rain and Off-road), cornering ABS and traction control.
Previously, these features were exclusive to the top-spec model and couldn’t be retrofitted to the X due to the absence of an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). However, it now appears that Bajaj has equipped the X with an IMU as well, enabling these advanced features – all for just Rs 12,000 more than the outgoing model.
At this point, the only major differences between the top-spec 390 Adventure and the X are the presence of cornering traction control and the wheel setup. The former gets a 21-inch tubeless spoke wheel setup, while the X comes with a 19-inch front alloy wheel.
Priced at Rs 3.03 lakh, the updated 390 Adventure X now commands a premium over the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 but offers significantly more in terms of outright features.
