Tata Motors has announced the extension of its Lifetime High-Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty to two of its key electric SUVs — the Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh. This initiative, already introduced with the Harrier.ev, is now being rolled out to both existing and new first-time owners of these popular models.
With Tata Motors already leading the country’s EV and SUV segments, this warranty extension aims to address one of the major concerns for prospective EV buyers — the long-term reliability and replacement costs of EV batteries.
“This warranty is a step towards ensuring a truly carefree, future-ready ownership journey for every TATA.ev buyer,” said Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. “We believe removing anxiety around battery health will further instil confidence in the EV ecosystem.”
Who all are eligible?
Applicable exclusively to private individual buyers, the warranty covers the first registered owner of the vehicle — reinforcing Tata’s commitment to enhancing customer experience and building long-term trust.
The company estimates that the lifetime battery warrantycombined with significant savings of ₹8–9 lakh in running costs over 10 years, will enhance the resale value and overall ownership appeal of its electric vehicles.
As part of an exclusive loyalty programme, Tata Motors is also offering an additional ₹50,000 benefit to existing TATA.ev owners who choose to upgrade to either the Curvv.ev or Nexon.ev 45 kWh.
