Hyderabad: Raising his voice against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for his remarks on Hindi language, film actor Prakash Raj expressed displeasure over the former’s statement underscoring the importance of Hindi and its advantages in learning it for better communication.
In a tweet, Prakash Raj said, “Should sell at this range. Chi… Chi.. Shameful.” Prakash Raj posted the tweet in response to Pawan’s comments.
Pawan was the guest of honour at the “Dakshin Samvad” programme organized by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs, in Hyderabad as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations on Friday. The event became a vivid testimony to linguistic harmony, the multilingual consciousness of the nation, and the continuous progress of the Hindi language.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan stated, “If we can learn foreign languages, why hesitate with Hindi? Hindi is easily understood across the country. I personally use Hindi on social media. On this Golden Jubilee of the department, let us resolve to love Hindi, adopt it, and promote it.”
Recalling former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, he said, “Language should connect hearts. Let us view Hindi from this perspective.”
