In a recent social media post (via Deadline), Evan Rachel Wood confirmed she “wasn’t asked” to return for Practical Magic 2stating she believes her character, Kylie, is set to be recast.
I am getting asked about this a lot, so l’ll just clear it up now;I was not asked to come back and be in the #PracticalMagic sequel. l offered my services, even if it was one scene or one line.
I was told they are re-casting. I am sorry to disappoint the fans. It was not in my control or my choice. I would have happily rejoined my sisters.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Speaking to Flip Your Wig, Tom Holland discussed returning to more location shooting for the next Spider-Man movie, compared to the set-heavy production of No Way Home.
I’m obviously over the moon and so excited. Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal, and I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of COVID. We shot the entire film on stages. Now, we’re really gonna lean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we’re starting in Glasgow.
It’s gonna feel like making [Spider-Man: Homecoming] again. It’s been such a long time that I’ve done it that it’s gonna feel like a breath of fresh air, and I think the fans are gonna be over the moon with what we’re putting together.
Ghost Eaters
THR reports a film adaptation of Clay McLeod Chapman’s Ghost Eaters is now in development at Scott Derrickson’s Crooked Highway and Screen Gems. Described as “a terrifying supernatural descent into the depths of grief and addiction,” the story follows “a group of friends who discover a drug called Ghost, which allows them to see the dead” at the price of “unfathomable side effects.” Maggie Levin is attached to write and direct.
