VinFast Auto India, the local arm of Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) giant VinFast, has officially opened bookings for its premium electric SUVs — the VF 6 and VF 7 — across the Indian market. The move follows the company’s showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year and marks another key milestone ahead of the public launch and deliveries scheduled for August 2025.
Customers can now reserve either model through VinFast showrooms or the official website, VinFastAuto.in, with a fully refundable booking amount of ₹21,000.
Locally Assembled, Globally Designed
Both the VF 6 and VF 7 will be assembled at VinFast’s upcoming manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The plant underscores VinFast’s long-term commitment to making India a critical hub for its future EV production and a key market for expansion.
These SUVs are engineered to offer a blend of performance, technology, and comfort while addressing range anxiety with impressive real-world driving range — suited for both daily urban commutes and long-distance travel.
–VF 7: A dynamic SUV offering a premium and spacious cabin, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, wireless charging, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
–VF 6: A family-focused EV combining comfort, practicality, and style with Level 2 ADAS, intuitive connectivity features, and a panoramic glass roof.
Building a National EV Ecosystem
VinFast has signed agreements with 13 dealership groups to set up 32 outlets across 27 Indian cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. These 3S (Sales, Service, Spares) dealerships aim to deliver a comprehensive EV ownership experience to Indian consumers.
To support its growing footprint, the company has also partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to create a nationwide charging and after-sales support infrastructure. The tie-ups will enable real-time access to charging, AI-powered diagnostics, and an integrated digital service platform.
Commitment to Circular Economy
Furthering its sustainability goals, VinFast has joined hands with BatX Energies, a clean-tech startup focused on battery recycling and rare metal recovery. This collaboration is expected to support battery repurposing and contribute to India’s evolving green ecosystem by building a circular battery value chain.
“We are deeply encouraged by the overwhelming support from Indian consumers at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia. “The VF 6 and VF 7 reflect our global EV vision tailored for India. We are confident Indian customers will find these models competitive and inspiring.”
VinFast’s formal launch and customer deliveries of the VF 6 and VF 7 are expected to begin following the inauguration of its Thoothukudi facility in August 2025.
