Tollywood comedian Fish Venkat, known for his memorable supporting roles, recently passed away after battling a severe kidney ailment. Despite the family’s best efforts and spending a substantial amount on his treatment, he succumbed to health complications. The family had earlier expressed disappointment that, apart from the Gabbar Singh team and a few individuals, the film industry largely remained silent during their time of need.
Stepping in now, actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood has come forward to offer financial assistance to the bereaved family. He donated ₹1.5 lakh and issued a press note assuring continued support to them in the future.
Fish Venkat’s last appearance was in Coffee with a Killer. Before Sonu Sood’s gesture, actor Vishwak Sen had extended help to the family, while Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also facilitated financial aid during the actor’s final days.
The family had been seeking ₹50 lakh to fund a kidney transplant, but unfortunately, Fish Venkat passed away before the procedure could be arranged. Sonu Sood’s timely gesture has been widely appreciated as the family continues to cope with their loss.
