The Zen Egg was introduced to Grow a Garden as part of the Zen Update that launched on July 19, 2025. It’s a limited-time and exclusive pet egg, offering six different pets, including the first Prismatic pet, Kitsune. To help you get this egg for yourself, I’ve put together a guide on everything you need to know about it, with information on how to get it, the chances of getting each pet, what pets are inside, and the abilities each one has.

How to Get a Zen Egg
As already stated, the Zen Egg is an exclusive pet egg that’s only available for a limited time. While the Zen update runs, the Zen Egg can be obtained by:
- Buy a Zen Egg for 30 Chi from the Zen Shop in the middle of the island. You’ll need to give the Zen Shop NPC Tranquil plants to earn Chi to buy one. Or you can spend 149 Robux to buy it.
- Giving the Zen Channeller Tranquil fruit for a chance to get a Zen Egg as a reward when reaching a new stage in growing the Zen Tree.
Can I Still Get This Egg?
Yes, you can! The Zen Egg will remain available to buy during the Zen Update.
All Zen Egg Pets
There are six possible pets you can get from the Zen Egg. Below, you’ll find information on the chances of each pet appearing. There is one Uncommon pet, one Rare pet, two Legendary pets, one Mythical pet, and one Prismatic pet up for grabs.
All Zen Egg Pet Traits
Each pet has its own traits and abilities in Grow a Garden. For the Zen Egg, some pet traits include boosting pet passives, applying mutations like Tranquil and Chakra, and plenty more.

| Tanuki | Legendary | Every 10 minutes, causes mischief, doing random different actions in your garden. |
| Tanchozuru | Legendary | Every 10 minutes, meditates for 10 seconds giving nearby fruits a 5% chance every second to become Tranquil. |
| Kappa | Mythical | Every 7 minutes, it sprays water on all fruits nearby, applying the Wet mutation. Has a 10% chance to replace Wet mutations already on fruit with the Bloodlit mutation. |
| Kitsune | Prismatic | Every 22 minutes, it goes to another player’s crop and mutates it with Chakra, then steals (duplicates) it, and gives it to you. Has a very rare chance to mutate the crop with Foxfire Chakra instead. |
