Hollywood icons Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci turned the streets of New York City into their runway, as they filmed a seqence for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’. The two stars were seen bringing the busy sidewalks of Midtown Manhattan to a standstill as they filmed their scenes with Anne Hathaway for the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 classic. While Meryl was seen as Miranda Priestly, in a fashionable pant suit, Tucci as Nigel Kipling was seen following close behind in a 3-piece suit and a briefcase in hand. But while filming continued at full speed, a different kind of drama is playing out online. Fans of the classic have begun fuming over the leaked photos and videos from the sets making their way online and ‘spoiling’ the film. Taking to their Twitter handles, fans expressed their frustration and fumed over the constant stream of behind-the-scenes photos being circulated across social media, fan handles and paparazzi sites.“At this point, I’m going to have to mute The Devil Wears Prada on here because they keep spoiling it through these pictures being posted on here,” one user tweeted. Another wrote, “So much The Devil Wears Prada 2 content on the TL. At this point we might watch the whole movie online.”Some fans went as far as comparing it to the leaks from the sets of Margot Robbie‘s ‘Barbie’, which featured several looks from the film months before it could hit the big screens. “I now need to mute The Devil Wears Prada ’cause you people have an obsession with spoiling things… just like you did with Barbie!” one angry fan posted. Another added, “We gone see the whole Devil Wears Prada 2 movie before it even hits theatres. Thanks, social media.” Still another added, “You guys are just going to ruin this whole movie for me.”Although Paparazzi coverage of film productions is not uncommon, the excessive leaks and steady flow of content online has sparked debates among fans and netizens. As far as ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is concerned, the film will see the return of several original cast members, including Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton. While the plot details are still being kept under wraps, the leaked images show Tucci and Hathaway filming their scenes together, prompting speculation about her character returning to the fashion magazine Runway. The film is slated for release in 2026.
