
Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE News Updates: The debate on Operation Sindoor will continue in the Parliament today, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address the Lok Sabha at around noon. This comes after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh initiated the debate on Monday, which continued till 1 am on Tuesday. Deputy Leader Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogai also participated in the debate, hitting out at the government during his speech in the Lower House yesterday. While the debate commenced in the Lok Sabha on Monday, the 16-hour debate will commence today in the Rajya Sabha.
Discussion on Operation Sindoor: EAM S Jaishankar, during the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor, reiterated that “at no stage in our conversations with the US (on Pahalgam attack) was there any conversation about trade.” The External Affairs Minister also reiterated the condemnation statements on the Pahalgam terror attack from international groupings like Quad and BRICS. Meanwhile, Deputy Leader Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi slammed the Centre, saying that it has been over 100 days since the horrendous April 22 incident, but the government “hasn’t been able to catch those five terrorists.”

Protests over Bihar SIR: Protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar continued outside the Parliament on Day 6 of the Monsoon Session, with Opposition MPs demanding that the Election Commission of India halt the exercise. Several MPs of the INDIA bloc parties, including Congress chief Mallikarjun kharge and Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhijoined the protest in the Parliament House complex on Monday.
